FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

McConnellsburg, PA – 8/11/2025

Fulton County Family Partnership to Relocate Offices

Fulton County Family Partnership (FCFP) is excited to announce that, effective August 18, our Overly Raker Building operations will move to the former bank building at Lincoln Way and Second Street in McConnellsburg.

Located in the middle of McConnellsburg, this new site places us right in town, offering a walkable setting that connects easily to local businesses and other services. This central location not only improves accessibility for clients and staff but also strengthens our community ties.

The thoughtfully designed space creates a more cohesive environment for our diverse programs. The new floor plan and flexible layout will encourage collaboration, streamline operations, and allow us to adapt as our services evolve.

This building was recently purchased by Fulton County, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to the Fulton County Commissioners for their generous support and vision, which have made this relocation possible. Over the next few months, project teams will work closely with staff, volunteers, and partners to create a welcoming, functional space that inspires continued success.

Important Service Updates

While we celebrate this new chapter, we must also share some difficult decisions regarding two of our long-standing programs:

  1. Closure of Dental Clinic
    • After more than 25 years of serving our community, the FCFP dental clinic will close on June 30, 2025.
    • Contributing factors include:
      • Declining volunteer dentist availability
      • Imminent need for costly equipment upgrades
      • Retirement of our clinic coordinator
      • Insufficient insurance reimbursement rates and lower post-pandemic attendance
    • We deeply regret the impact on those who rely on this service and thank every volunteer, staff member, and supporter for their commitment to improving local oral health.
  1. Infant Care Adjustment in Childcare Program
    • To ensure overall sustainability, FCFP will discontinue the four infant slots in our center-based care program.
    • All infants currently enrolled will transition smoothly into toddler or preschool rooms, and no positions will be eliminated—every staff member will remain employed.
    • We recognize the loss of center-based infant care in Fulton County and share the concern of affected families. Our new facility has room to reinstate infant slots in the future, and we remain hopeful about restoring this service when conditions allow.

Looking Ahead

These changes are driven by our commitment to serve families and children sustainably. We welcome feedback and ideas from community members, partner agencies, and funders as we refine our programs and make the most of our new home.

Further updates, including moving logistics and timelines, will be shared in the coming weeks. If you have questions or concerns, please reach out to:
