Accepted Types of Payment:
Head Start is a comprehensive preschool program for income eligible children, ages three to school age and their families. Children with disabilities may be enrolled regardless of income depending on enrollment census.During enrollment, the child/family recieves health and development screening, individualized instruction, school readiness skills, health and nutrition education, family support, referrals to community services, and parental involvement.
There are three kinds of programming: 1. Two full day child sessions; home visits and parent sessions monthly (combination)
2. Pre K counts partnership with Southern Fulton School District, combines funding to provide 5 full day classroom sessions with 2 parent/teacher conferences and 2 home visits with some parent sessions.
3. Weekly home visits, child group activities/parent groups twice a month (Home based) During enrollment, the child/family recieves health and development screening, individualized instruction, school readiness skills, health and nutritional education, family support, referrals to community resources, and parental involvement.
